Special documentary on 100 years of Indian Cinema

This year, the Indian film industry completes its centenary, and what better solution to pay tribute to an industry that churns out over 1000 films a year, than with a documentary traversing the past century!

As a tribute to celebrating the 100 years of cinema four maverick filmmakers Karan Johar, Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar and Dibakar Banerjee might be making 20 minute short films each in keeping with Bollywood. The four documentaries are being made under the banner of Flying Turtle Films and can be later clubbed and released as an 80 minute documentary film.

The documentary that Zoya has planned is titled Sheila Ki Jawaani and narrates the tale of a tender boy and his obsession with the song `Sheila Ki Jawaani'. The film will narrate the tales of all of the popular item numbers and the way glamorized songs became over the century.

Zoya's film features Katrina Kaif and in addition an intensive interview with Ranveer Singh. While Anurag's film isn't titled as yet however it is confirmed that Priyanka Chopra might be part of it. However, Karan Johar and Dibakar haven't yet started work on their films.
