After Sandeep Chowta's highly appreciated background score for the critically acclaimed Paan Singh Tomar, director Tighmanshu Dhulia had made up his mind on taking him on board, not just for the background score but in addition to compose the music of the film.
Sandeep's last film as an entire fledged music director was Not A Love Story. He has also given some amazing background score for some hit films prior to now. Producer Rahul Mittra said, "Sandeep Chowta was always our first and last choice. He gave the background score for Tighmanshu's last film Paan Singh Tomar, and Tighmanshu had loved his work. He committed to him then that whatever his next project may be, he'll be doing the music for the film. And here he is, on board for Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns."
He Mittra, "AT THIS TIME we're shooting a song with Soha Ali Khan, Mahie Gill and Jimmy Sheirgill in Baria for which Sandeep has given the music. This can be a really nice track and Sandeep claims this to be as considered one of his best music up till now."
