Ajay Devgn ready for ‘Jumping Jack’ makeover

Ajay Devgan 200x215 He's known for taking part in intense roles, but now Ajay Devgn is able to imitate Bollywood’s “Jumping Jack” Jitendra’s dance moves in his new film “Himmatwala”, that's in accordance with the 1983 film of the similar name.

“I am able to do anything, be it action or dance… You can’t take a look at one department, this is a film in totality… I'M the entire film right now,” Ajay told reporters Wednesday.

Said Sajid Khan, director of the brand new version of “Himmatwala”: “Ajay’s image is action and intense oriented, but for me, he's an entire hero. He can do anything. Our film isn't a take off on ‘Himmatwala’. It’s not a spoofy film.

“It is predicated on 1983 film ‘Himmatwala’ and it's my version of ‘Himmatwala’. You're going to get to peer many stuff which have been not there in ‘Himmatwala’. Actually, they're two different stories. We've taken rights officially for the film and for the 2 songs.”

Directed by Telugu filmmaker K. Raghvedra, Jeetendra and Sridevi-starrer “Himmatwala” was an ideal hit film of 1983.

Sajid says Jeetendra may do a guest appearance in his film.

“I will ask Jeetu-ji to do a cameo within the film. For Ajay, it's like homecoming because his dad did action for ‘Himmatwala’. This time across the action may be completely new and different.”

Ajay said: “I am asking him (Jeetendra) to try this cameo. I don’t know if he would do this or not.”

To be co-produced by Vashu Baghnani and UTV Motion Pictures, the film’s leading lady isn't yet finalised. – IANS
