Jannat 2 not allowed to be shown on TV before 11 pm

After The Dirty Picture, Jannat 2 becomes the second one film to be banned by the Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC) for screening during prime-time slot on TV. Despite choosing cuts and getting a U/A certificate for its TV premiere, the CBFC issued a diktat to the makers of Jannat 2 that they may screen their film only post 11 pm.

This decision has irked the Bhatts to no end and producer Mukesh Bhatt has said that he wouldn't accept this condition laid down by the Censor Board. The Bhatts feel that in the event that they agreed to among the cuts asked by the CBFC, then why don't you allow the film to be screened at prime-time? However, the CBFC feels that a film like Jannat 2 despite its various cuts remains to be not suitable to be watched by young viewers.

The Dirty Picture is yet to be premiered on TV and if the makers of Jannat 2 don't comply with the CBFC's demands, their film can have to stand the similar fate. If that happens, satellite rights which function a large revenue source for filmmakers can be affected in a foul way.
