The makers of the movie Yeh Jo Mohabbat Hai could be using lyrics written by the late lyricist Anand Bakshi of their film. Producer Ashim Samantha has acquired the rights of the lyrics from Anand Bakshi's sons to compose these songs.
Anand Bakshi was related to the industry for nearly 40 years and contributed to greater than 4000 songs. He has written the lyrics for films like Bobby, Amar Akbar Anthony, Sholay, Kati Patang, DDLJ, Dil To Paagal Hai and Taal to call a few.
Music director Anu Malik says, "I USED TO BE engaged on the music of Yeh Jo Mohabbat Hai when Ashim came as much as me and asked me to read a couple of lyrics. I loved it immediately. That may be when he declared that the lyrics are by Anand Bakshi. Anandji will always live in our hearts through his music. I shared an excessively close equation with him and it delights me to continue composing his lyrics. Yeh Jo Mohabbat Hai is a passionate love saga and also you need lyrics which emote. Anandji's songs are the very best fit. I'M glad we got the desired permissions."
Producer Ashim Samanta, who's ecstatic to get the rights for Anand Bakshi's lyrics, says, "WE'RE delighted to get rights for Anand Ji's lyrics. 'Pyar Karna Na Tha' would be the title track of the film and we're sure that the audiences will love the song."
