Pakistani model-turned-actress Veena Malik was expected to seek out her prince charming on “Veena Ka Swayamvar”, however the reality show was aborted after the Imagine channel decided to close down its operations. Veena says she isn't upset as she knows that her marriage plans are doomed.
“You know, my wedding dates has been preparing ever since I USED TO BE 14. My dad wanted me to get married since then. My parents tried to get me settled down four times and each time I backed out,” Veena told IANS.
She further added, “But when ‘Swayamvar…’ happened, my abu and my friends supported me so much. Once I was ready for it (marriage), it didn’t happen. I BELIEVE my marriage plans are jinxed. It's been cancelled many a times.”
After her stint on reality show “Bigg Boss”, “Swayamvar…” would has been her second Indian show. She was not shocked when she came to understand that the show have been cancelled.
“I was not surprised once I heard that the channel had shut down, as it was not new to me. Of course, money is a vital part. I lost my money, but if my manager called me and told me about it, my only reaction was, ‘Ok’. I THINK it happens in our lives. I'M an overly positive person. (COULD ALSO BE Allah ne kuch behtar rakha hai mere liye),” said Veena who's said to be dating director Hemant Madhukar. She is operating in his film “Mumbai 125 kms”.
However, she admits her father was upset when the show didn’t happen.
“If ‘Swayamvar…’ would have happened, could also be I MIGHT have even got married. When it got cancelled, my dad was very upset. Something is incorrect with my wedding (kuch toh gadbad hai mere shaadi main). I don’t think I WILL BE ABLE TO ever get married.
“I know it’s a lovely relationship to live along with your partner, you get older together but let’s see when it'll happen with me,” she added.
Veena came to limelight after her link-up with tainted Pakistani bowler Mohammad Asif. She rose to fame in India after appearing within the fourth season of controversial reality show “Bigg Boss”. During her stay within the “Bigg Boss” house, Veena was associated with Bollywood actor Ashmit Patel.
Currently Veena is busy shooting for Bollywood films “Daal Mein Kuch Kaala Hai”, “Zindagi 50:50″, “Super Model” and “Dirty Picture: Silk Sakkath Maga”, Kannada version of hit Hindi film “The Dirty Picture”. – IANS
