Last week while Bollywood newbie Ramcharan Teja shot for Zanjeer at Film City within the suburbs of Mumbai, he had a surprise guest visiting him who was none rather than Sanjay Dutt.
Dutt had never met Ramcharan. But he decided to drop in for lunch and to supply his good wishes.
Says a source, "Sanjay has grown progressively supportive of young talent. Inside the making of Department, he guided Rana Daggubati, offered him advice on how one can proceed together with his career or even made sure that one of the most youngster's best shots were included within the promos. Now Sanjay is cheering for an additional Telugu star who's not even known to him."
Interestingly, Rana Daggubati and Ramcharan Teja are best friends in real life. We hear Ramcharan who gets married in June, is planning a bachelor holiday in Istanbul with all his friends including in fact ally Rana.
As for Sanjay Dutt, says an eyewitness from the Zanjeer location. "We were shooting at Film City once we saw Baba's car drive in. He got down, met director Apoorva Lakhia after which sought out Ramcharan Teja. He sat with Ramcharan and spoke to him for a fair half an hour. Thereafter food was brought by Baba's Man-Friday. It was biryani cooked by Maanyata Bhabhi which Baba insisted on sharing with Ramcharan."
When contacted Ramcharan Teja seemed incredulous concerning the august company he had lately kept.
Says Ramcharan, "Mr. Dutt just showed up all of a sudden. My Dad (Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi) knows him very well. But I never had the privilege of meeting Mr. Dutt before. He was really warm towards me."
