RGV denies postponing of Department

Rumours continue to enclose Department and this is the brand new one. As per a couple of who're closely attached to the film, its release date could also be pushed by every week. That is being attributed to the post production of the film that's apparently taking longer than required.

Says a source on condition of anonymity, "THERE'S still some work left at the film. As we talk, this can be a race against time. Ram Gopal Varma and everybody else really need the film to make it on 18th May. However we're not sure if this can happen. Looks as if the film could also be pushed by every week".

From competition perspective, it won't really harm the Amitabh Bachchan-Sanjay Dutt starrer if it moves by per week since there is not any other notable release on either 18th or 25th of May. However, it will give the film just one week to make maximum moolah since Rowdy Rathore is predicted to reach like a hurricane on June 1.

"The delay of Department would help Dangerous Ishhq and Ishaqzaade though, either one of which arrive every week before. This will likely then give them a fortnight so as to add to its revenue", adds a trade insider.

However, quiz Ram Gopal Varma in regards to the rumours making the rounds and he shrugs all of it away. He says, "IT'S untrue that the film is being postponed. It's arriving on May 18, that's final."

Ask him concerning the origin of the rumour and the way there is not any smoke without fire and he says in his characteristic tone, "I CANNOT speculate on others' speculations. So far as I'M concerned, each person related to Department know that it's arriving as planned. Moreover the promos and advertisements are finishing up the similar date besides. Beyond that there's actually nothing to mention".

Well, this could set matters to rest.
