Sanjay Gupta's Shootout At Wadala appears to be getting bigger by the day. The film which already stars heavyweights like Anil Kapoor, John Abraham and Manoj Bajpayee now has another addition to its cast. Sonu Sood, who impressed all and sundry together with his act in Dabangg, have been signed to play the nature of dreaded don Dawood Ibrahim within the film.
Confirming the news, Sonu said, "I'M extremely thrilled to be part of this prestigious project. Sanjay Gupta is without doubt one of the best technicians we have now within the industry. He presents his actors like no person else. At the other hand, Ekta Kapoor is likely one of the most prolific producers. She leaves no stone unturned for her films. It's an iconic role for me."
Dawood has always been the most important character and a powerful actor was had to portray it and hence Gupta zeroed in on Sonu Sood.
Sanjay Gupta says, "IT'S THE clash of the titans. Who better to play young Dawood than Sonu Sood? Have you ever seen him? His body language and his physique work for the role perfectly. This is a crucial character within the film. We show how Dawood forms his D company the very night his brother Shabbir dies. John in fact plays dreaded gangster Manya Surve. The clash of 2 of the most efficient bodies within the industry need to be interesting to observe".
The film, in response to a narrative by Hussain Zaidi, deals with the upward push of Dawood within the underworld and his rivalry with Manya Surve. It talks concerning the death of Dawood's brother Shabbir (to be played by Manoj Bajpayee) and the encounter of Manya Surve reportedly orchestrated by Dawood.
