Sanjay Dutt through the years have been seen in myriad avatras, but the actor is most remembered for his gangster roles. Now adding another role to this list is his next film with Ashtavinayak by which he's going to be seen playing the role of a Gujarati gangster.
Bollywood Hungama has learnt that the film that's being produced by Ashtavinayak and directed by Soham Shah will feature Dutt portraying the true life gangster Sharman Munjha Jadeja from Porbandar, Gujarat.
In real life Sharman Munjha, better referred to as the Robinhood of Gujarat, ruled Porbandar and other places in Saurashtra within the 80s.
Rumours say that Vivek Oberoi can be a part of the film, however sources state that talks are still on with Vivek to essay one of the crucial male lead roles while Chitrangda Singh is probably going to play the leading lady.
Confirming this, the spokesperson from Ashtavinayak says, "Yes Sanjay might be doing the film."
The film is slated to move on floors on May 2 and can be shot in a start-to-finish schedule while being probably the most expensive films of the year.
After this film, Sanjay Dutt jumps directly to the remake of Satte Pe Satta so that it will be co-produced by Ashtavinayak and Sanjay Dutt's banner. "Satte Pe Satta will start immediately post the completion of this Soham's film," adds the spokesperson.
