Apparently Sallu has asked 'Bodyguard' director Siddique to cast Aamir in his next Bollywood film.
If there's one-upmanship within the industry, there also are incidents when an actor is understood to favour or promote close friends and choose contemporaries. Buzz is that Salman Khan is raring that Siddique (director of Bodyguard) cast Aamir Khan in his next Hindi film after his hugely successful Bollywood debut.
A well-placed source within the industry tells us that once Bodyguard became a large hit last year, South-based director Siddique was keen to make another movie with the actor. Also, he got veteran producer Shyam Bajaj, who produced Bandhan with Salman to back it.
"But after hearing the idea, Salman felt that it was more fitted to Aamir. Besides, he also conceded that he is currently tied up with prior commitments like Ek Tha Tiger and Dabangg 2.
So even supposing he wished to, he can't decide to it. He's even believed to have said that he would consult Aamir if Siddique wanted him to," recalls our source.
When contacted, Siddique maintained that he is still engaged on his next script. "Only when I complete the writing part am i able to work out which actors can also be considered for the forged. So it's too early to discuss the casting," he said.
About the film... Speaking in regards to the more or less film he was going to make next, the director says, "It's an action-romance with some humour and in addition a thriller element. That's all I WILL BE ABLE TO say at this point."
