Vidya Balan came out of her comfort zone and delivered a blockbuster like “The Dirty Picture”. And now the actress is raring to do a movie on extra marital affairs or a biopic on late prime minister Indira Gandhi.
Talking about her collection of scripts, she told IANS: “Action isn't something I MIGHT need to do. I NEED to do a pleasing ‘Arth’ more or less a movie on extra marital affair which at the moment we regularly get to listen to or even a biopic on Indira Gandhi.”
Post the success of “The Dirty Picture”, every director is raring to work with Vidya, but if asked which director she would wish to work with, she said: “I wish to work with Gulzar.”
If Gulzar is understood for penning melodious lyrics like “Mera rang lai lay” to peppy Hinglish song “Kajra re”, he's equally known for his directorial skills which he showed with films like “Parichay”, “Angoor”, “Maachis” and “Hu Tu Tu”.
Vidya is excited together with her Bollywood projects and doesn't wish to get into Southern films.
“In south, they don’t write many jobs for actresses. I'M happy here,” the 33-year-old said. – IANS
