Reema Kagti Sanjay Gupta engage in disagreement

There seems to has been a disagreement happening between filmmakers Reema Kagti and Sanjay Gupta. In an interview to a newspaper, Reema accused Sanjay Gupta of starting the allegations that Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (which was co-written by Reema and Zoya Akhtar) is a replica of a foreign film. She further went directly to add that Gupta had not made a single original film in his career and hence had no right to speak about originality.

Not one to take things lying down, Sanjay Gupta lambasted Reema on Twitter. Gupta tweeted, "Poor Reema Kagti, is eager to create buzz for her thanda film. If using my name helps, so be it. Ms. Kagti you've paid lakhs to the paper to publicize your film and yet it's me they highlight. No highlights for your film to speak about? Ms. Kagti why were you quiet on the time this controversy came out? Was it since you did not want to hamper your award season? Ms. Kagti if I HAVE BEEN inspired I'VE openly admitted and never hidden behind a curtain of faux originality. Ms. Kagti a number of the films I've made have got 4 star ratings. But when not original I DO NOT shamelessly lobby and clamor for awards. And finally, Ms. Kagti I'M available if you ask to discuss the originality of ZNMD on an open stage."

Well, if this battle of words will end here or change into a large controversy is something that only time will tell.
