Seems like India has more to celebrate than simply the 5 films namely Rajan Khosa's Gattu, Musa Syeed's Valley of Saints, Ashim Ahluwalia's Miss Lovely, Anand Gandhi's Ship of Theseus and Hansal Mehta's Shahid so that you can be a part of the Dubai International Film Festival. As India's most successful Hollywood export Freida Pinto could be seen gracing 9th International Dubai Film Festival as a coveted member of the jury

As a member of the jury, she's going to be judging films which can be a part of the Shorts and Emirati section - short films from the Arab, Emirati and Asian African countries making her the primary Indian to be at the jury of the international short film contest as a part of the festival. Along with her duties as a juror, she has also been invited to wait a unique gala hosted by Academy Award winning actor Colin Firth and his fashion entrepreneur wife Livia to support the once a year 'One Night to switch Lives' charity event to profit Oxfam and Dubai Cares on December 14th. Last year's event raised over USD 1 million, funding 14 regional schools and 10 schools in Pakistan.

The festival will kick start on Dec 9 and can come to a detailed on Dec 16. Other international stars expected include Cate Blanchett, Colin Firth, Rooney Mara, Kirsten Davis, Cuba Gooding Jr among many others.
