Freida at the jury of Dubai Film Festival

Looks like India has more to celebrate than simply the 5 films namely Rajan Khosa's Gattu, Musa Syeed's Valley of Saints, Ashim Ahluwalia's Miss Lovely, Anand Gandhi's Ship of Theseus and Hansal Mehta's Shahid if you want to be a part of the Dubai International Film Festival. As India's most successful Hollywood export Freida Pinto could be seen gracing 9th International Dubai Film Festival as a coveted member of the jury

As a member of the jury, she's going to be judging films which can be a part of the Shorts and Emirati section - short films from the Arab, Emirati and Asian African countries making her the primary Indian to be at the jury of the international short film contest as a part of the festival. Along with her duties as a juror, she has also been invited to wait a distinct gala hosted by Academy Award winning actor Colin Firth and his fashion entrepreneur wife Livia to support the yearly 'One Night to modify Lives' charity event to profit Oxfam and Dubai Cares on December 14th. Last year's event raised over USD 1 million, funding 14 regional schools and 10 schools in Pakistan.

The festival will kick start on Dec 9 and can come to a detailed on Dec 16. Other international stars expected include Cate Blanchett, Colin Firth, Rooney Mara, Kirsten Davis, Cuba Gooding Jr among many others.

When contacted, Freida's spokesperson confirmed Freida being a part of the jury at DIFF.
