A K Hangal admitted in hospital

Avtar Kishan Hangal, popularly referred to as A.K. Hangal (98 years), is very critical and was been admitted to Asha Parekh Hospital in Mumbai yesterday, after he fell in his bathroom and fractured his right femur (thigh) bone. Since his condition started deteriorating after the initial examinations at home, the doctors have shifted him to the hospital's ICU and put him on ventilator support.

Talking about Hangal's condition, Dr. Vinod Khanna, (Orthopedic Surgeon- Asha Parekh Hospital) said that in Hangal's examination, they discovered that he had severe chest complications, and that's the reason why they admitted him within the ICU. Khanna also added that his condition continues to be critical and he was kept under observation.

Readers may recall that Hangal, despite, his age and health conditions, braved to stand the camera for the recently launched TV serial 'Madhubala', wherein he had reached the sets on a wheelchair.

Bollywood Hungama prays for Hangal saab's quick and speedy recovery.
