Balaji has decided to postpone the discharge of Shootout At Wadala from December 7, 2012 to January 18, 2013. Speaking about this development, Tanuj Garg, CEO-Balaji Motion Pictures, said, "WE'RE considering a January 18 release and can make a proper announcement soon."
News has it that the said decision was taken during a closed-door meeting between Ekta, John Abraham, Sanjay Gupta, Ramesh Sippy and Tanuj Garg. Ramesh Sippy (Ekta's maternal uncle and in addition one in every of Balaji's Board of Directors) was instrumental in delaying the film's release. Reportedly, it was he who insisted that it might make no sense to release a large film like Shootout At Wadala every week after the Aamir Khan starrer Talaash.
The official announcement in regards to the same might be made soon.
