John to launch Kaala Ghoda on Independence Day

The day of Fourth of July holds a really perfect significance within the Unites States because it marks its Independence Day. This can be a common trend to peer the largest of Hollywood blockbusters either release in this day or get launched in this day. Now John Abraham - producer of the mighty successful Vicky Donor - could also be taking a cue out of this significance of selecting a right day for a film's launch and he has picked up 15th August, India's Independence Day, to kick-start shooting of his much ambitious film Kaala Ghoda.

"Kaala Ghoda is a mild hearted tackle the prevalent corruption in India. When John and his team brainstormed at the film's launch, there have been many dates considered. However, John desired to make it extraordinary and felt that 15th August can be just apt as a result of significance that just today holds. It was unanimously agreed that the film's muhurat could be hung on this day", informs a source from John's production house.

Kaala Ghoda is a gloomy comedy where John plays a cop, it also features Kunal Roy Kapur (of Delhi Belly fame) as his peer and partner within the film. While corruption is an undercurrent theme within the film, director Aditya Bhattacharya (of Raakh fame) has decided to inform the story in a gentle hearted manner with an excellent dose of humour in order that the message is conveyed in an entertaining manner in place of being thrust down the audience throat.

"There are plans being prepare to make the 15th August launch really special since that might result in widespread media coverage and awareness building as well", the source continues, "Since John comes from a robust marketing and advertising background, he takes cue from many a lesson learnt in his earlier career stream. He understands that proper buzz building of a movie is of paramount importance and the best date, time and setting could make or break a movie".

One can well see that he's also taking a cue from Aamir Khan School of publicity for the reason that senior actor was known for carefully strategising the announcement and release of his films.

When contacted, John confirmed the scoop. He also added, "While Kunal is playing a corrupt cop, I'M playing a suave cop who involves his rescue. With a 15th August kick-start of the film's shoot, we're indeed taking a look at creating a statement."
