Aamir Khan has had the busiest year ever. Known for doing one project at a time, that is first time in his career that he have been juggling his magnanimous TV show Satyamev Jayate, release of Talaash and shooting of Dhoom 3, all happening together.
In fact Aamir was scheduled to go away for Chicago to shoot for Dhoom 3 at the night of August 3. With Raksha Bandhan coming up, his initial plan was to celebrate the festival on August 2 and leave the following day.
However, it turned out that Aamir's his entire family had planned a lavish party on August 3 to celebrate the 50th birthday of his sister Nikhat. When Aamir heard in regards to the party, he requested Victor (director of Dhoom 3) and Aditya Chopra if he could leave for the united states an afternoon in a while. his part, Aamir didn't wish to disrupt the shooting schedule.
Victor and Aditya however were greater than accommodating and felt Aamir could join the team in a while August 6, with none issues.
