Vivek Oberois clarification on hookah raid

In wake of most high end clubs and hotels under constant scrutiny, even the average man bears the brunt and if there's a celebrity present on the restaurant, stories are immediately created. Vivek Oberoi was caught in a single such incident a few days back.

Apparently, the actor who had just wrapped up shooting for the day decided to go to his friends at Mabrook, a well-liked restaurant at Sahara Star hotel. The eatery, which served hookah had many youngsters smoking when police suddenly raided where. Since Vivek was present there as well, he too was questioned. The actor patiently waited for the entire formalities to get done with.

Vivek even presented the police with a replica of his bill which had no mention of hookah and was let off by the cops soon after. A source with reference to the actor reveals that VO is much from any roughly vices, let that be drinking or smoking. Actually even before he entered the industry, Vivek was always averse to smoking or even joked around with smokers advising them to drop the death stick. As a result of this, he was appointed the emblem ambassador of anti-smoking by the UN.

The actor in his defense feels that he can only let his work talk and check out his bit in discouraging people from smoking but can't individually visit everybody asking them to stop smoking. It should be an individual call. Last heard, Sahara Star even sent a letter of apology to the actor because of the inconvenience caused.
