Sonam Kapoor opts out of Mani Ratnam’s flick

Actress Sonam Kapoor won’t be starring in Mani Ratnam’s new Tamil flick which unveils experienced Tamil actor Karthik’s son Gautham. The nature has now gone to the forthcoming Tamil-Telugu actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu who will also make her B-town debut with Assi Nabey Poore Sau. “At this stage in her career going Southwards for Sonam would give the bad sign to the film producers in Bollywood. Mani had his heart set on Sonam since she suitable the young simple effervescent sophisticated girl’s character. He’d to appear for a last-minute alternative,” said a source.

Sonam Kapoor was apparently considered for the role, but later Samantha was finalised for it. Samantha, who was embarked on cinema by Menon in his Tamil flick Vinaaithandi Vaaruvaaya, was prone to make her Hindi debut with its remake Ekk Deewana Tha. The nature went to Amy Jackson instead and Menon will now launch her in conjunction with Assi Nabey Poore Sau, said a source. The flick couples Samantha with Aditya Roy Kapoor.
