Rowdy Rathore promo to be launched at BDD chawls in Mumbai

When Sanjay Leela Bhansali decided to provide a movie as massy as Rowdy Rathore, he had only his friends and family from his childhood days in mind because the audience. Bhansali spent his childhood and growing-up years in a chawl and spent many evenings watching massy films within the dingy theatres within the area.

He's now able to revive his association along with his past in a most unexpected way. The first-look trailer of Rowdy Rathore can be launched on April 2 on the BDD (Bombay Development Department) Chawls in Worli Mumbai. The development can be open to all the area. Chawl dwellers can be welcome to come back and shake hands with Akshay and exchange a grin with Sonakshi.

Bhansali who's currently scouting locations in Gujarat for his next film would fly down especially for the development.

Says a source close Bhansali, "Rowdy Rathore is Bhansali's gift to all his childhood friends and relatives. He has invited them all, folks he hasn't met for years, to the Jamborie Maidaan within the BDD Chawls. He'll be flying down from Gujarat for the day to be on the venue with Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha and director Prabhu Deva."

Shikha Kapoor, head of promoting at UTV (co-producer of Rowdy Rathore) says, "We thought it'd be fun to have over-the-top trailer launch to fit the mood of the film."
