Accidents as a result of rash driving has been at the rise in Mumbai city and the newest name to be attached to such an incident is that of Arbaaz Khan. However, the actor turned producer wasn't the only behind the wheel. Actually it was his brother Sohail Khan's driver, Dhananjaya Pimpale, who was chargeable for the accident.
The accident which happened last night near St. Andrews Church in Bandra resulted in the death of a 70 year old woman who was crushed under the actor Land Cruiser.
The accident happened at around 11 pm last night when Pimpale was driving the auto towards Arbaaz's home, when he hit the elderly woman Chandra Bala. The police said that they received a choice at 11.30 pm from an eyewitness, reporting the accident.
The preliminary investigations showed the motive force had not been drinking, but a medical report on his blood and urine samples is awaited. However, Pimpale was arrested on various charges including negligent driving and culpable homicide not amounting to murder, and can be produced in an area court today.
While then again the police have said that Arbaaz Khan's statement can be recorded even though the actor was not within the car, but for the reason that vehicle belongs to him.
