Dubbing for Ranbir-Priyankas Barfi wrapped up in five days

What was being speculated all this while and will have possibly escaped after being tagged as a rumour has actually turned out to be a real. Ever because the making of Barfi! , it was being said that this was almost a silent film with neither Ranbir Kapoor nor Priyanka Chopra having many dialogues to their credit. If truth be told very recently even Anurag Basu said that Barfi! isn't entirely a silent film. However, this is able to well be 'almost' as regards to truth, what with insiders revealing that the dubbing of all the film was wrapped up in under five days.

"This was presupposed to be a well kept secret and in addition the USP of the film. However, the cat of out of the bag. Barfi! is sort of a silent film and experimental to the core. The mood of the film is such that there are minimal dialogues required within the narrative and it's mainly the background score that plays all the way through the narrative. Many just about Anurag were surprised when he informed that he's through with the film's dubbing. Typically it takes a slightly very long time - especially for star driven films - to wrap up the dubbing part. However in case of Barfi! , it all was finished under five days", informs our source.

It is understandable though since Ranbir plays a deaf and mute young man within the film while Priyanka may be enacting the nature of an autistic. Still, one would have expected no less than Illeana D'Cruz and other supporting actors to have ample dialogues to their credit in order that the entire silence may well be compensated for.

"Well, even Illeana doesn't have too many dialogues. She knew about this from Day One so there's no the reason is, she would complain although that is her debut Bollywood outing", the source adds.

No wonder, the film was earlier purported to be titled Silence, only to be changed to Barfi! a couple of months down the road. Now this is hoping that this Barfi! indeed tastes sweet in its rather silent avtar!
