Akshay Kumar has enthralled and regaled the audience together with his death defying stunts in most of his films. As always, for Rowdy Rathore too Akshay was adamant on performing the stunts himself. As a precautionary measure, the makers of the film had no option but to insure the star.
Rowdy Rathore has many raw action scenes and everybody was worried about Akshay doing the scenes himself as they might be fatal. The makers of the film thus insured him at a heavy premium even before the film started. However, what's interesting is that Akshay have been reportedly insured for a whopping amount of around Rs. 50 crore.
This might not be the primary time that filmmakers have taken out insurance claims against actors. Prior to now UTV, Karan Johar and Yash Raj Films have insured their movies, but now the rage of insuring stars is soon catching up in Bollywood.
