After an extended wait, the movie adaptation of Chetan Bhagat's best selling novel '3 Mistakes of My Life' is finally on floors. Produced by UTV and directed by Abhishek Kapoor (of Rock On fame), the film is named Kai Po Che and is currently being shot in Gujarat.
The makers haven't begun not revealed the forged but Chetan Bhagat earlier posted this image and tweeted, "Exclusive: Still from the three Mistakes movie. What say?" The picture shows the nature of Ishaan who plays a cricketer.
Speaking exclusively to Bollywood Hungama, Chetan said, "I'M happy and excited that the film is finally on floors. Abhishek Kapoor is braving the new summer heat in Gujarat with all the cast and crew. They're shooting in Vadnagar in Mehsana district of Gujarat and also will be filming scenes in Ahmedabad. I ACTUALLY am dying to get on set soon."
Chetan further added, "When the film was announced, people were telling us that this film won't be allowed to screen in Gujarat. But I'M happy to state that the federal government of Gujarat have been very co-operative to us and in reality almost all of the film is being shot there in actual locations. We also met up with the CM of Gujarat- Mr. Narendra Modi who have been very co-operative in allowing us to shoot the film in Gujarat and he has also ensured that the film will release in Gujarat to boot".
Refusing to divulge the cast, Chetan said, "I'd rather have the makers UTV to make an official announcement in regards to the cast but I WILL BE ABLE TO inform you that we have got a brand new and exciting cast available. The film is rather a devoted adaptation of the book and i'm sure people won't be disappointed. It is a coming together of UTV, Abhishek Kapoor and myself. Abhishek had a large number of offers post Rock On but I'M glad that he stuck by our vision to first make the movie adaptation of '3 Mistakes of My Life'."
Abhishek Kapoor also tweeted, "It's hot nevertheless it makes me feel Alive. On set. 'Kai Po Che'. Day 'forever' (9, actually!). Team's within the groove, Cast of their skin. I smile. So humbling to be on a suite with incredible new talent. Appears like my innocence is kept intact. No greater joy than rediscovering a lost one!"
The screenplay of the film have been written by Abhishek Kapoor, Chetan Bhagat, Pubali Chaudhari and Supratik Sen.
