Writer Salim Khan loves encouraging young talent. So it's not surprising that he invited the Vicky Donor director and writer Shoojit Sircar and Juhi Chaturvedi to his residence on Tuesday after watching their film.
In an endearing gesture of appreciation, Salim Saab handed over considered one of his old Filmfare trophies to Sircar and Chaturvedi.
Says Sircar, "Juhi and that i spent an excellent 45 minutes with Salim Saab on Tuesday afternoon. It was an amazing experience. We learnt such a losimply byhim just by hearing him discuss Sholay, and screenwriting and Sanjeev Kumar."
Sircar received a decision from Salim Saab on Tuesday morning. "He said he liked my film and that if someone had come to him to put in writing a movie in this theme he'd have never attempted it. This, coming from the person who re-wrote the entire rules of screenplay writing…Honestly I COULD NOT have hoped for the next compliment."
The best was yet to come back. Says Shoojit, "When Salim Saab handed over the Black Lady to Juhi and me it was like a dream come true. So far as I'm concerned we've already won our award for our work."
