The silver screen's dreamgirl Hema Malini had invited the politics' dreamgirl Sonia Gandhi alongwith Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for her daughter Esha's wedding with Bharat Takhtani at her residence. Despite the invite, the duo couldn't ensue as a result of security reasons.
Talking about this, Hema said that she had invited PM and Sonia Gandhi for the marriage, but they couldn't come for security reasons. She also added that if the wedding would was in Delhi, they'd have made it. And that it was a sweet gesture from Sonia Gandhi that she had sent Esha and Bharat an invitation that whenever they're in Delhi, they need to visit her '10 Janpath' residence for lunch or dinner.
Even though the 2 political bigwigs were absent on the wedding, there have been other politicians who attended the grand wedding at Iskcon Temple in Juhu, last week. They included Raj Purohit (Mumbai Chief- BJP), Party president Nitin Gadkari, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi (National Vp) alongwith probably the most top quality BJP leaders. While the reception had other bigwigs including L.K. Advani, Sushma SwarajAmar Singh, Raj Thackeray and others.
On the Bollywood front, there has been Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Ramesh Sippy, Jeetendra, Tusshar Kapoor, Kajol, Fardeen Khan, Vidya Balan amongst others. Abhay Deol, who's known to be as regards to Esha, was present in any respect the functions.
