He is the trendy day Mozart, but A R Rahman hasn't ever rested on his laurels. Now the musical genius is about to team up with director Danny Boyle to compose a song for the London Olympics' 2012's opening ceremony.
Confirming this A R Rahman posted on his facebook page, "Clarifying the report at the Olympics track I'M composing... It is a track in Punjabi celebrating the Indian influence within the UK. It is a a part of a medley within the Olympics opening ceremony, in step with Danny Boyle's creative wishes!" Aside from Rahman music composer Ilayaraja's composition 'Naanthaan Ungappanda', from Kamal Hassan's 1980 film Ram Lakshman can be part of the hole ceremony too.
The London Olympics could be held from July 27 to Aug 12, 2012.
