This was meant to be one naughty poster design for Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum. However because the film is inching towards release, there are the standard attention seekers from various nooks and corners of Mumbai, who're seeking to spoil the party. Now it is time for Neha Sharma's bare back that has found itself in focus, pun intended. This was witnessed on Sunday when an enormous hoarding, which featured Neha in all her glory, needed to be pulled down within the wake of a police complaint.
"Even though the poster design have been making the rounds of internet for quite some time, there has been a bigger impact made when it was out as an enormous hoarding everywhere in the city. It features Neha lying at the beach with a tiny pink top and hot white shorts. While her almost bare back is visible to a viewer, Riteish Deshmukh, Tusshar Kapoor and 'Shatru' the pug, are ogling at her from the opposite side. For some strange reason a gaggle of ladies felt that the creative was vulgar and filed a police complaint," informs a source.
This happened for the hoarding submit at Mumbai's Worli Naka. After these women from an undisclosed political party approached police and alleged vulgarity, the outdoor agency (that had post the hoarding) was instructed to drag it down. For the reason that orders came from the police, there has been nothing that either the agency or the promoting team at Balaji could do. Moreover with the film's release around the corner, it was felt that the easiest way out can be to quietly adhere to the orders in preference to fighting it out and arising with a cross argument.
When contacted, Tanuj Garg, CEO -Balaji Motion Pictures, confirmed the developments. "Yes, we were informed by the outdoor agency of a police complaint being received to take away the hoarding by a bunch of ladies from a political party. Now we have swapped the creative. The audience anyway knows concerning the film and with lower than three days, we might rather deal with the release," he said.
