Debate soars over movie stars visits to Ajmer Sharif Dargah

Bollywood stars, at the moment have started resorting to the 2 DI's: Digital Imaging and Divine Intervention. While for the former, there are 1,000,000 studios which might be at it, but for the latter, the celebrities have suddenly started flocking to the 'Ajmer Sharif Dargah', which has become the 'Mecca' of the tinsel stars, who come there for praying for his or her films success. That is something that has not gone well with the management of the dargah.

Zainul Abedin Ali Khan, the Dargah Dewan reasoned that a holy place must never be used as a platform for anything that may be forbidden and against Islamic law. In lieu of this, Khan issued an announcement on Sunday stating, "Dance and movies are taboo in Islam. Cinema today, in general, is promoting obscenity, that's an immense reason for the rapid degradation of ethical values within the society. Film stars come here repeatedly to hunt blessings for his or her films and, within the process, promote their film in the course of the media. Such more or less promotion in their work on the religious place is very intolerable." He reasoned out his stance stating that he's not against the film stars coming within the Dargah. All that they're objecting is that the celebrities leave behind the CDs in their films. He said, how can he know that if the CD left behind by the celebrities doesn't contain any explicit content. He summed it up saying that Khwajaji isn't here to make their films a hit.

Meanwhile, the religious head of the Dargah has called upon the entire Islamic scholars and 'Ulemas' to seem into this issue. He said that it was very surprising for him to peer that the Islamic scholars are quiet in this issue. He also added that they need to express their views as strongly as they do in other cases. He cited the examples of Himesh Reshammiya who had are available a burqa and Katrina Kaif in a skirt. He questioned this by asking why don't these stars visit Shankarcharya Math or to a gurudwara before the discharge in their movie. They arrive here for publicity and wind up spreading obscenity.

On the opposite hand, Qutubuddin Sakhi, Dargah's Khadim, who disagreed with Khan reasoned that be it a typical man or a star nobody comes for sheer publicity. He also added that people who are announcing the ban haven't any authority to mention so and that it's their personal grudges against khadims. Within the same breath, he said that the Dargah Dewan's statement is nothing but a gimmick to earn publicity. He added that Bollywood celebrities has been coming to wish and seek blessings of Khwaja Saheb for the reason that past 23 years and none of them came here to get publicity.

Meanwhile, Syed Afsar Ali Nizami, the in-charge of Nizamuddin dargah said that the Dargah Dewan is making an attempt to mislead people within the name of Islam. He stated that to issue a press release like stars, directors and producers are using the holy place for commercial purposes and for degrading moral values is totally wrong. He added that he saw northing wrong within the stars visiting the shrine as it isn't wrong for the celebs to hope for the success in their films. He also explained that while a masjid is for Muslims, a dargah is open for all. Anyone can come and seek blessings at a dargah. He added that if the authorities were so worried concerning the commercial misuse of the holy shrine, then how come they allowed movie shoots (Namastey London) inside?
