Rowdy Rathores shoot creates problems in Hampi

The upcoming Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha starrer Rowdy Rathore directed by Prabhu Deva has run into trouble while shooting in Hampi. Apparently, because of the presence of the actors and all of the unit on location; tourists were prevented from entering and taking within the delights of the Vijaynagar-era structures.

The shooting locations included different places on the heritage site including the Vijaya Vittala temple, Lotus Mahal, Maha Navami Dibba and a number of other historic places. Hampi that's a UNESCO world heritage site was invaded with the production house vehicles, including generator and gear vehicles, the self-love vans of actors and cars carrying crewmembers that drove into the Vijaya Vittala temple area despite a prohibition.

Apparently, vehicles has been banned near protected monuments since November 15, 2010.

If the prohibitions weren't enough, the unit also bumped into trouble with an issue that stirred with the locals who claimed that the makers had violated the law by not employing 30% of the workforce from the state. However, when the local Karnataka Film Artistes Association insisted at the inclusion of the local work force, the unit packed the continuing shoot with actors Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha and 50 other dancers and left.
