Vidhu Vinod Chopra, one of the vital successful film maker in Bollywood, has disclosed that he was excited about casting Aishwarya Rai for the nature of Lalita in his 2005 film Parineeta. However it was film director Pradeep Sarkar, who introduced actress Vidya Balan to him and she or he took away quite a lot of laurels for her performance within the movie.
Vidhu Vinod Chopra was discussing cast of Parineeta when he mentioned Aishwarya Rai. Vidhu Vinod Chopra informed PTI, “When we considered Parineeta, I instantly considered a face like Aishwarya Rai. The role of the woman is like two guys fall in love along with her. So the heroine should be greater. But film director Pradeep Sarkar informed me about Vidya and that i was like let me see what she will do. But then we analyzed and tried her and he or she cleared it.”
Parineeta was an adaptation of 1914 Bengali novella of the similar title, which was written by Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay. The film featured Saif Ali Khan, Sanjay Dutt and Vidya Balan.
