Esha Gupta turns down Fairness Cream Endorsement Offer

Bollywood actress Esha Gupta, who’s featured in 3 major Hindi movie releases this week, including ‘Jannat 2′, ‘Raaz 3′ and ‘Chakravyuh’, have been performing well at the endorsements world as well.

Esha, who’s presently promoting cosmetic and comfort brands, was currently contacted for a fairness cream. However, she declined point-blank as her logic was simple. She’s no problems about her complexion like other Bollywood actresses like Priyanka Chopra and Bipasha Basu.

Thus, she felt that promoting a fairness cream isn’t something she sees herself doing.

Pran Saheb is okay - Amitabh Bachchan

Ever since veteran actor Pran was hospitalized earlier this week, there have been rumours that he's critical. However some of the first people to dismiss those rumour mongers was Amitabh Bachchan.

Big B, who has acted with Pran in lots of iconic films, visited the ailing actor and tweeted, "Paid a trip to Pran Saheb in hospital. He's fine. Spent an hour with him joking and talking of times past and present. All those making speculative remarks on Pran Saheb being critical...Get your facts right before going public... most irresponsible"

On his blog Bachchan further spoke concerning the greatness of Pran and reminisced old times by writing, "A REAL professional, an earnest colleague, a gentleman and in possession of an elephants memory on one of the vital most incredible 'shairi' of the days passed by. Without reference to the heavy makeup that he wore on most of his films - the heavy false beards and wigs interpreting various characters that he played - he was always the primary on set and not left it to come again to his room. He would sit quietly after his shot was over, within the heat of the studio, with gentle demeanor, within the shift, leaving only after the 'pack up' sound. His innovations in designing different characters for himself and spending hours in getting those hair and sticky pieces together was absolutely amazing. On outdoor schedules, he was a delight to spend time with - his daily evening drink and his numerous anecdotes and data of urdu poetry. This evening too he's stuffed with those numbers and at 92, god bless him, has not lost any of his sense of humour and humility."

Pran saab is recovering fast at Lilavati

There was a pall of gloom and a sense of dread in Bollywood when news of the 92-year old veteran actor Pran's hospitalization filtered in.

But we will be able to breathe a sigh of relief, no less than for now. In line with actor Raza Murad who visited Pran Saab on Monday afternoon, the ailing actor is easily which will recovery and may be discharged from hospital very soon.

Says Raza Murad happily, "I met him on the hospital. I also met his daughter Mrs Pinky Bhalla. She is calling after him so well. He's at the 9th floor and being well looked-after. They're all hopeful of taking Pran Saab home in an afternoon or two. It was nothing but a minor respiratory problem caused by the smoke during Diwali."

Pran Saab had a reasonably lengthy conversation with Raza Murad.

Says Raza Murad, "I told Pran Saab he was my guru. I learnt acting and the way to throw my voice during dialogue delivery from him. He asked me why I DID NOT meet him at Bachchan Saab's birthday bash. I told I wasn't there. Before I left him smiling, I made Pran Saab promise we'd all have a grand 93rd party for him in February."

What saddened Raza Murad was the blatant absence of different visitors to inquire about Pran Saab's health. "THERE HAS BEEN not a single person from the film industry to peer him. When A K Hangal Saab had gave up the ghost there has been nobody from the industry on the funeral Why? When Yash Chopraji was ailing there has been a veritable stampede of celebrities competing to be seen visiting him. We have to respect and price our veterans while they're alive. Let's not measure their importance within the present times. Let's take into accout their contribution to our cinema in totality before ignoring them during their illness."

Reema Kagti Sanjay Gupta engage in disagreement

There seems to has been a disagreement happening between filmmakers Reema Kagti and Sanjay Gupta. In an interview to a newspaper, Reema accused Sanjay Gupta of starting the allegations that Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (which was co-written by Reema and Zoya Akhtar) is a replica of a foreign film. She further went directly to add that Gupta had not made a single original film in his career and hence had no right to speak about originality.

Not one to take things lying down, Sanjay Gupta lambasted Reema on Twitter. Gupta tweeted, "Poor Reema Kagti, is eager to create buzz for her thanda film. If using my name helps, so be it. Ms. Kagti you've paid lakhs to the paper to publicize your film and yet it's me they highlight. No highlights for your film to speak about? Ms. Kagti why were you quiet on the time this controversy came out? Was it since you did not want to hamper your award season? Ms. Kagti if I HAVE BEEN inspired I'VE openly admitted and never hidden behind a curtain of faux originality. Ms. Kagti a number of the films I've made have got 4 star ratings. But when not original I DO NOT shamelessly lobby and clamor for awards. And finally, Ms. Kagti I'M available if you ask to discuss the originality of ZNMD on an open stage."

Well, if this battle of words will end here or change into a large controversy is something that only time will tell.
