jQuery('.nrelate default').removeClass('nrelate default');Lata Mangeshkar launches LM Music without fanfare
In no mood to celebrate, Lataji has quietly launched her music label LM Music with an album of Bhajans devoted to Swami Samarth Of Akkalkot.
The lavish launch party that was planned for 18th November was indefinitely postponed after Balasaheb Thackeray's death.
Interestingly Lataji sings together with her youngest sister Usha after a few years. The 2 sisters sang plenty of hit film songs within the 1950s and 60s like 'Apalam Chaplam' (Azad), 'Kis Kaaran Kamini Sharmaye' (Chandan Ka Palna) and 'Bahe Jaiye Na Rani' (Sabse Bda Rupaiya).
Subsequently, Lataji elected to maintain a discreet distance to permit her youngest sibling to blossom as a solo singer.
Now the eldest born of the Mangeshkar family and the youngest have come together to sing for the primary album on Lataji's own label.
Says Lataji, "IT'S always a pleasure to sing with Usha. She's a great singer in her own right. We've come together again due to the solemnity of the occasion; Swami Samarth is a much-revered saint from Akkalkot."
Mayuresh Pai, a tender talented composer and an enormous fan of Lataji, has composed the Bhajans.
The album at the Nightingale's new label has gone quietly into the market.
Says Lataji, "Our release function needed to be dispose of. 2012 was not an even year for me. We can have a lavish function in January 2013. But we needed to release the Mahamantra album for Swami Samarth. It was a commitment. We needed to deliver within a time-frame."
About the label LM Music, Lataji says shyly, "IT IS A name suggested by everyone within the family. I went together with it. I've no real interest in using my name for anything."
Bhushan Kumar to have a working 35th birthday
One of probably the most successful, young and dynamic producers Bhushan Kumar turns 35 today. Ever since he took over the reins of music label T-Series, Bhushan has only taken the corporate to astounding heights through his sheer dedication, passion and focus.
He is understood to be a workaholic, such a lot in order that he doesn't really have any birthday plans as such and can be spending the day engaged on important meetings and later spending time along with his family. However, knowing his penchant for fancy cars, one assumes he may add a brand new toy to his already impressive collection.
Nevertheless here's wishing Bhushan Kumar an excessively happy birthday and lot more success within the years to come.
Priyankas singing battle over Krrish 3 and Zanjeer
So who in Bollywood gets to secure Priyanka Chopra's newly-discovered stardom as a singer? Sources insist, she's being earnestly wooed to do the croon for both her underproduction films Krrish 3 and Zanjeer.
"But Priyanka can only sing in a single of those films. She told us she doesn't need to sing in too many films. She desires to lend her voice sparingly in films. She has told us she can be singing in exactly some of the two of her films which can be at the floors," said someone with reference to one of the most two underproduction projects.
At the instant the singer in Priyanka is being seduced by both the projects. Apparently, Rakesh and Hrithik Roshan with whom she shares a long-standing bonding over the Krrish franchise, have personally asked Priyanka to lend her voice to their film. However, Zanjeer's leading man Ramcharan who's now Priyanka's pal has also installed his request for Priyanka's voice.
In fact the Zanjeer makers are very keen to hit the market speedily to benefit from Priyanka's new international image of the actress-singer. The film is now being readied for an early May 2013 release, much prior to Krrish 3. Although the latter began shooting much earlier it releases much later in Diwali 2014.
Says a source, "The Zanjeer team could be very keen to have Priyanka sing within the film. However there are two hurdles. One is Priyanka's proximity to the Roshans which can prompt her to sing for Krrish 3 rather than Zanjeer. Also, she is under contract to not sing for any film until her international album is released. The Zanjeer team is hoping to be the early bird and catch her voice just in time for the film's release. But for that they'd need to get past Priyanka's emotional and moral commitment to singing for the Roshans. Because there is no way Priyanka would sing for both Krrish 3 and Zanjeer."
Priyanka Chopra's career as a world singer has taken off with the one 'In My City' which one hears is music to global ears. Bollywood's me-too brigade, not desirous to be left behind in anything that wows the West, has embraced her singing acumen. Suddenly there's a demand for her vocals in Bollywood.
Whether its the Roshans or the Zanjeer team who finally bag Priyanka's vocals is still seen.
Deepika injured on sets of Ram Leela

Zanjeer remake faces legal trouble
The very moment the scoop became public in regards to the remake of (late) Prakash Mehra's Zanjeer (that is produced by his son Amit Mehra), everybody in showbiz was excited to the core. Now, the joy seems to have run into rough weather, courtesy Amit failing to pay his two brothers who've terminated the remake contract.
What happened was that Amit, after buying the film's remake rights from Sumeet (his US based elder brother) and Mumbai based Puneet (younger brother) defaulted on payments. This led to Sumeet and Puneet terminating the said contract. And because the Arbitrator upheld the contract's termination, Amit approached the Bombay High Court. And as per the HC order, Amit have been given a reprieve to shoot the film. On the same time, however, he can't release the film until further orders are issued from the HC.
While Amit said that he's making the payments and releasing the film, Puneet said that because the matter is subjudice, he can't intricate the similar. Meanwhile, news may be abuzz that Sumeet and Puneet have an interest in upholding the Arbitration Order, interalia, project's termination.
Mira Nair to do stage adaptation of Monsoon Wedding
After having reached dizzying heights in Bollywood, filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj is now prepared to start along with his first English composition, which happens to be a whopping 11 songs for the musical stage adaptation of Mira Nair's film Monsoon Wedding. He's said to have kept all other assignments on hold next month for this Broadway-styled musical, that allows you to see him working with lyricist Jaideep Sahni and Nair in December.
News is that since Mira got busy with The Reluctant Fundamentalist and Vishal with Saat Khoon Maaf and Matru Ki Bijli Ka Mandola, the theory of converting Monsoon Wedding right into a Bollywood musical got delayed. Talking concerning the musical, Mira said that she is going to be engaged on finishing the songs of Monsoon Wedding until mid-December. If the excitement is to be believed, then the shocker is available in the shape of the scoop that Mira desires to cast fresh faces within the musical and that not one of the film cast might be repeated. And the factors for the stage act could be that the said actors need to be fabulous dancers since they are going to be singing and dancing non-stop on stage for 2 hours.
Meanwhile, Bhardwaj said that the stage adaptation of Monsoon Wedding could be like a Broadway musical version. He added that for the primary time, he's going to be composing the songs in English, in order to be sung live by the actors on stage.

Aamir Khan, who has started the countdown for Talaash, confessed that he experienced a sense of deja vu and was even spooked when he discovered that yesteryear master of suspense films, Raj Khosla, had actually stayed in a single of the rooms (that now serves as a guest room) within the flat that may be his current home.
For the uninitiated, Raj Khosla happens to be the daddy of director Milan Luthria.
