John Abraham to play cop in Kala Ghoda

After receiving rave reviews for his cop act within the movie Force, John Abraham again gears as much as play a cop in director Aditya Bhattacharya's new film Kala Ghoda- No Gun No Fun. John can be producing this film.

Aditya Bhattacharya is the director of Aamir Khan starrer National Award winning film Raakh.

Aishwarya Rai was first option for Parineeta: Vidhu Chopra

Vidhu Vinod Chopra, one of the vital successful film maker in Bollywood, has disclosed that he was excited about casting Aishwarya Rai  for the nature of Lalita in his 2005 film Parineeta. The Zoya Factor slips out of Shah Rukh Khans hands

After three years of no-show, Anuja Chauhan's 2008 bestseller The Zoya Factor has fallen out of Shah Rukh Khan's hands and gone to rival producer Manmohan Shetty instead.

The novel a few young Delhi girl's almost-telepathic affinity to the Indian cricket team was grabbed by Shah Rukh's Red Chillies. Apparently, at that time of time the novel's heady mix of glamour and cricket had appealed to Khan. As a time flew by, the unconventional remained unused.

Tragically Chauhan's other bestselling novel The Battle For Bittora appears to be suffering an identical fate. Its filming rights were acquired by Saregama nearly two years ago. However the movie project shows no signs of progress. When contacted Saregama's CEO Apurv Nagpal informed that the project would now be looked into.

When reminded that Saregama had the movie rights of The Battle For Bittora for less than three years Nagpal retorted, "We still have one and a half years."

Anuja Chauhan need to be holding her breath and praying that her two novels don't suffer the fate of Chetan Bhagat's two bestsellers 2 States and three Mistakes Of My Life. The filming rights of the 2 novels were bought by Sajid Nadiadwala and UTV, respectively. But no progress was made thereafter.

A tragic scenario in an industry that cannot stop moaning in regards to the paucity of excellent stories and scripts.

Six movie trailers to be attached to Housefull 2

The request for 2 of those trailers to be attached came from Nadiadwala's leading men. Apparently, Akshay Kumar and John Abraham's requested Nadidawala to let Rowdy Rathore and Vicky Donor be attached.

And that is not the end of the tale. There are a minimum of five more producers-directors insisting to let their trailers be attached to Housefull 2. Nadiadwala would take a choice on their fate in a day's time.

The problem is Housefull 2 is already a lengthy 2 hour 30 minute film. 6-8 trailers would bring the whole playing-time to just about 2 hours 45 minutes.

"I've never felt more helpless. Every producer who wants his trailer with Housefull 2 is a chum. It's truly a compliment to our film. Never before has any film been swamped with such a lot of requests for trailers to be attached. I'm touched and flattered. But because the collection of trailers grows, I THINK the trailers aren't attached to Housefull 2. It is the opposite direction around. Housefull 2 is hooked up to the trailers," quips Nadiadwala.

Sonakshi signed opposite Akshay in OUATIM sequel

Sonakshi Sinha have been signed directly to play Akshay Kumar's love interest within the much awaited sequel of Milan Luthria's Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai. Sonakshi could be seen playing gangster Shoaib's (played by Akshay Kumar) moll within the film.

This can be Sonakshi's third film with Akshay after Joker and Rowdy Rathore. Sonakshi might be seen playing the role of Yasmin, that's said to be in response to the lifetime of Ram Teri Ganga Maili actress Mandakini, a young, innocent girl who aspires to be an actress and the way her life changes after she falls in love with a gangster. There'll even be a love triangle between Imran Khan, Sonakshi and Akshay.

The sequel, produced by Balaji Telefilms, will go on floors in August.

No stopping for ‘Kahaani’, Sujoy Ghosh elated

Actress Vidya Balan’s “Kahaani” has set a brand new record by attracting crowds in its fourth week and director Sujoy Ghosh thanks everyone for appreciating this dark thriller a few woman’s hunt for her missing husband.

The film has reportedly reached the Rs.50 crore-mark since its release March 9.

Made at a small budget of Rs.8 crore, the film’s collections show that it’s a bumper hit of the primary quarter of the year. Despite no skin show and no glamour, the film has rocked the box office.
