For folks who were wondering whether Aamir Khan can be further postponing his Talaash after already moving it around a few times, here's some excellent news. The film's release, which was slated to be on November 30, is now final and there won't be any longer postponement. To reaffirm this message, the makers have also done something unprecedented - They have got opened the improvement booking in select theatres and that too when the film remains to be over 100 days away.
"Never before has this happened for any Bollywood film but perhaps that is Aamir's way of constructing a statement quite loud and clear", says an insider, "At many multiplexes across major centres within the country, the film's advance booking has already opened for November 30. While patrons were in for a surprise once they realized that they may book tickets for Talaash well in advance, additionally it is some way for producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani to gauge audience curiosity much upfront".
Though in Hollywood this can be a trend for major biggies, in case of Talaash it's all the more relevant since there were multiple changes in plans for the film. If truth be told till a fortnight ago it had seemed that Aamir wanted some more changes within the film and hence had requested director Reema Kagti to make changes.
"All of that was mere speculation but that is the actual truth. Aamir is thru with 'Satyameva Jayate' and could be working backwards now to execute his 100 days plan", adds a source, "Expect the promotional campaign to kick-start any time now."
When that happens, it could happen. Meanwhile for audience the outlet of film's plans has a minimum of ended the 'talaash' of a movie that gave the impression of forever within the making.
