Case against SRK for insulting Indian flag

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan found himself in a brand new controversy earlier today after social worker Ravindra Brahme lodged a case against the actor for insulting the national flag of India.

While surfing the net, Brahme stumbled on images of SRK holding the Indian tri-colour the wrong way up and celebrating after Indian cricket team won the sector Cup in April 2011. Although the actor would possibly not have done it deliberately, Brahme felt that it was disrespectful of the actor to delight in such an act.

SRK was booked under sections of Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971. The case was registered on August 14 and have been transferred to Mumbai police for further investigation.

It could also be recalled that Brahme also recently a lodged a complaint against starlet Gehna Vashisht for allegedly insulting the national flag by wearing it as a bikini. Vashisht was arrested on August 18 and later released on bail the very next day.
