There's no Indo-Pak jingoism in Agent Vinod - Saif Ali Khan

Pakistan has banned the theatrical release of Agent Vinod and though the lead pair of Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor are expectedly disappointed with the development, they continue to take care of the stance that the film isn't imagined to hurt the feelings of any nation. If truth be told also they are of multinational belief that the film is as non-jingoistic because it gets and actually Pakistani people would like the film in the event that they get an opportunity to observe it.

"To begin with, it has now been revealed that even if Kareena is playing a Pakistani character within the film, contrary to rumours she isn't playing a negative character within the film", informs a source just about the actors, "Yes, there are specific good and bad Pakistanis, just as there are good and bad Indians. However, Kareena plays an even Pakistani and because she is the film's leading lady, this on its own should quash the rumours that the rustic is shown in bad light."

This isn't all as Saif Ali Khan also narrates an individual explanation for ensuring that he respects the feelings of the neighbouring country.

"During the making of J.P. Dutta's L.O.C, he experienced big alienation from the Pakistani audience. He understands that Pakistan represents an enormous segment of overseas audience. Especially since Agent Vinod is his own production and there's big moolah involved, he wouldn't wish to let burst off this kind of huge opportunity of exploiting the market from commercial standpoint", the source continues.

Now that only a day remains for the film's international release, there may be little that Saif and his team can hope to do with the intention to turn across the fortunes of Agent Vinod in the case of it's release in Pakistan. However, Khan does reiterate the truth that the film was always alleged to bridge the distance between the 2 countries in preference to widening it.

"Agent Vinod presents a selected view of Pakistan and that's the reason precisely the view that I too happen to share personally", says Saif, "Yes, so on paper Pakistan is our enemy. However, of their culture too there are people who find themselves good and do not war with India. At the other both India and Pakistan have certain villains who represent ugly side of the 2 countries. Our film shows this fight against bad elements; that's about it. There is not any jingoism whatsoever. I'M HOPING that globally people watch this film in huge numbers and spot the actual truth."

Here is hoping that it doesn't happen on pirated copies though, that's expected to be an enormous threat now due to the fact the official release was banned in Pakistan.
