For individuals who felt that Shekar Suman's son Adhyayan Suman had done the vanishing act, the scoop is that he's back with a remake of the Hollywood hit medical thriller Awake. To be titled Heartless, the film will mark the directorial debut of Shekhar Suman and can have Giselle Monteiro, who can be playing Jessica's part within the film.
Adhyayan, who's really excited to work with Giselle, is slated to play Hayden Christensen's part within the adaptation. The filmmakers are in contact with the Weinstein Company to shop for the rights of the unique film to bypass any copyright issues afterward. While the famous Page 3 writer Nina Arora was engaged on the script and the screenplay, Niranjan Iyengar has written the dialogues. Adhyayan, who has just wrapped up shooting for Milind Ukey's Dehradun Diaries, added that the film imagined to start last year, but got stalled. Now they're looking ahead to Nina's new draft of the script.
The father-son duo of Shekhar-Adhyayan have already worked on four to 5 songs for his or her film, with a brand new music director Gaurav Dagaonkar, who, incidentally has also composed music for the Akshay-Sonakshi starrer Joker. Adhyayan, who's prepared to begin the film around May, feels that nobody in Bollywood has ever tried their hands at a medical thriller till date.
