Now this needs to be the most important casting coup in a very long time. Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla, who ruled the B.O. within the 90's and were considered rivals then, are actually coming together for the primary time ever in Anubhav Sinha's home production Gulaab Gang.
While Anubhav had signed Madhuri some time ago, Juhi came on board recently taking this project a notch higher. Gulaab Gang is an action drama with the 2 women at loggerheads and hence Anubhav thought you will want to have two power-house performers like Madhuri and Juhi sharing screen space. The film is called after a well-liked women's group in U.P. that takes up the reason for women fighting against various injustice akin to domestic violence, sexual harassment, dowry etc.
Gulaab Gang is written and directed by debutant Soumik Sen who incidentally may be composing the music for this film.
