Rajesh Khannas members of the family summoned by court

Yesterday, a metropolitan court asked the (late) Rajesh Khanna's members of the family (wife Dimple Kapadia, daughters Twinkle and Rinke, son-in-law Akshay Kumar) to look before him "without fail" on December 4. This was done for them to succeed in a settlement w.r.t. the complaint filed against them by Anita Advani, who claimed to be the late actor's live-in partner and was requesting maintenance from the estate of the late actor.

After hearing Anita's complaint (which was filed under the provisions of the Domestic Violence Act), Magistrate S.S. Deshpande suggested that both the perimeters should settle the problem cordially. He also added that, in the event that they agreed, then, he would refer the case to a mediator the similar day. He also added that that if the parties didn't comply with a settlement, he would hear the problem and dispose it off in a month.

Anita, in her petition allegedly stated that post the actor's death in July; his members of the family expelled her and hence committing an offence under the Domestic Violence Act. Along with this, she also challenged Khanna's will, by stating that he had not left behind any will and that a will was forged by his family. She even went onto allege that the actor`s family had obtained his thumb impression at the will when he was critically ill and never in a position to understanding anything.

'Clarifying' her stand, Anita claimed that she was entitled to maintenance to support herself, as she lived with the actor within the 'shared household' (defined under the Domestic Violence Act as a spot where a person and girl live as husband and wife).
