Kareena Kapoor played a sex worker in “Chameli” and does so again for “Talaash”, a job she describes as amongst her most sensitive and powerful.
“I play a prostitute, who's more or less an escort. It’s an excessively deep character. I'VE hopefully achieved a sensitive performance. It’s by far certainly one of my most sensitive performances, I believe,” Kareena told IANS sooner than the discharge of “Talaash” this Friday.
Her role in “Chameli” can't be compared with what she has portrayed in “Talaash”, says Kareena, who can be seen sharing the screen with Aamir Khan and Rani Mukerji within the thriller.
” ‘Chameli’ was different. It was very raw. The lingo and the language, body language and the outfit – everything was different. Here from head to toe, the performance, and everything is different,” she said, adding that she signed at the dotted line for “Talaash” as it allowed her to work with Aamir again.
“I don’t have a look at the project with commercial aspect. I WISHED to work with Reema (Kagti) and desired to work with Aamir again. I loved the role that was offered to me. That is one of the vital powerful roles that I'VE done,” she said.
“Reema comes across as an overly strong director and a powerful personality, but if you get to grasp her, she is an excessively sensitive girl and that's what she has led to in her actors and in her film,” Kareena said about her director. – IANS
