Actor Aftab Shivdasani is shooting for “Grand Masti” with Vivek Oberoi and Riteish Deshmukh and says that even after eight years their chemistry has not changed.
“Grand Masti” is a sequel to 2004 adult comedy “Masti” that had the entire three actors within the lead role.
“There was an opening of eight years, so obviously every one will need to have grown as an actor. However the important thing is that even after eight years, the chemistry has not changed. We're so ok with each other, enjoying so much, there is not any ego, no clash,” the 34-year-old said here Tuesday in an interview.
“We have already shot for 40 days but I HAVEN'T felt like I don’t wish to visit the shooting or I don’t need to check with anyone. Every person is operating in a fun mood, this film have been a breeze,” he added.
Indra Kumar, who had directed “Masti”, is wielding the megaphone for the part two to boot.
“Masti” featured Vivek, Riteish and Aftab as three friends who choose to cheat on their wives, played by Amrita Rao, Genelia D’Souza and Tara Sharma respectively.
But for “Grand Masti” Maryam Zakaria, Kainaat Arora, Bruna Abdullah and Sonalee Kulkarni will jowithin them in the cast. Ajay Devgn will even feature in it.
Meanwhile, Aftab doesn't need to call “Grand Masti” a sequel and instead terms it as a franchise.
“It’s not a sequel, it’s a franchise. I SUPPOSE franchise is a safer option because people more or less know what to anticipate in terms of a franchise or a sequel. On the same time, it has its own brand equity in place. You understand that individuals had liked the logo within the past, so obviously, they're going to wish to see the second one part,” Aftab said. – IANS
