Bollywood today has transcended many generations of filmmaking since its beginning; but the latest trend to hit the industry is that of remaking films that are cult classics. The case in question here's the impending remake of the film Zanjeer.
As we already know, the writers of the unique 70s classic, Salim-Javed, were miffed with producer Amit Mehra, for not taking them into confidence about his much mentioned remake. However, when Amit met the duo, the scriptwriters of the unique made it amply clear that he must shell out a considerable sum as royalty if he wanted their script re-translated on celluloid.
To further the process, we now hear that Javed Akhtar has hired a legal team to cope with the copyright issue of Zanjeer. Apparently, the veteran lyricist-writer is miffed with Mehra for claiming that each one is definitely between the warring factions and that the remake will continue with none hindrance.
