Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar has put an entire stop to speculation that he's set to launch the primary look of his ambitious project, Kareena Kapoor-starrer “Heroine” on the upcoming 65th Cannes International Film Festival.
“Media reporting that 1st look of #Heroine goes to be launched in Cannes are baseless,” tweeted Bhandarkar Tuesday.
“Me, Kareena and the entire team are busy shooting #Heroine throughout the whole month of April and May, so absolute confidence of visiting Cannes,” he further added.
The annual film extravaganza is to be held May 16-27.
Bhandarkar had launched “Heroine” on the last edition of Cannes International Film Festival with Aishwarya Rai because the lead. But later, the actress needed to opt out of the project after she became pregnant.
Kareena stepped into her shoes for the role.
