Asha Bhosle keeps grandsons clear of today’s films

asha bhosle 200x238 Veteran singer Asha Bhosle isn't too proud of the “vulgar” content of modern films. So, she prefers to maintain her grandchildren clear of watching these.

“Hindi films are growing. Some good, small films are being made. But some films are very vulgar, they have got abusive and vulgar dialogues,” Bhosle said here.

“It’s not good for the brand new generation. I don’t show these films to my grandsons because then they begin talking within the same manner,” added the 78-year-old.

Nevertheless, she is ready to make her acting debut with the title role within the film “Maaee”. This can be a sensitive tale of a lady who's abandoned by her only son and narrates how she finds shelter in her daughter and son-in-law’s house.

Meanwhile, the veteran singer, who was the voice of actresses starting from Waheeda Rehman, Vyjanthimala, Sadhana, Sharmila Tagore to Rekha, Urmila Matondkar and Aishwarya Rai, says she have been lucky to have received such a lot love from the audiences for the past 65 years.

“I has been on this line for 65 years and i've literally ruled the industry in this time. I sung such a lot of songs and got such a lot love and respect from the general public. I don’t know the way much the industry loves me, but rarely does anyone get such a lot love from the general public as I have,” she said.

Bhosle, who has sung greater than 12,000 songs in 18 languages, first sang in Bollywood within the 1956 film “C.I.D.”. Besides singing for Bollywood, she has cut a large number of private albums or even partnered with some international artists.
