Thanedaar Returns is Sanjay Dutt's third cop role in a year. After Ram Gopal Varma's Department and the forthcoming Zilla Ghaziabad, Dutt will again be shown as a cop.
But producer Aggarwal is unperturbed, "If you've seen the unique film Saamy (2003 Tamil film directed by Hari starring Vikram and Trisha) you'd know this can be a cop film unlike some other".
However, Vinod Bachchan the producer of Zilla Ghaziabad doesn't think so. In a panic mode on hearing about yet one more cop film, Bachchan apparently got involved with Sanjay Dutt requesting that his film be completed on the earliest.
Says a source just about Bachchan, "Dutt has finally agreed to provide Bachchan the dates required to finish Zilla Ghaziabad. However, the additional action scenes that Dutt desired to shoot to provide the film an additional punch has been scrapped. Dutt has no time to shoot the additional action scenes that he originally desired to. Just one vital scene featuring Dutt with Ravi Kishan can be shot. Then, thinks Dutt, the film is complete."
According to the source with regards to Bachchan, the actor has moved on and just desires to complete Zilla Ghaziabad as quickly as possible.
"That's exactly how the producer Vinod Bachchan also feels," says his friend.
