Akshay to redub for Joker

Shirish Kunder's upcoming film Joker starring Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha may be redubbed. However, the makers of the film will only redo the sequences which feature Akshay referring certain Indian states within the film.

The cause of that is that for the reason that film is claimed to be based in a fictional village in India, there can't be any connection with existing Indian states, namely Rajasthan, MP and UP. Joker is predicated in an imaginary place called Paglapur. However, consistent with the unique script, its location, as stated twice within the film, is a disputed piece of land between Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.

To get rid of any hassle that the film may later face because of the names of the states mentioned, the makers have decided to redub the lines and take away the references to existing states. In fact, an earlier instance of this kind of case was in Aamir Khan's Peepli Live where he had used imaginary state names.

The portions in Joker will now be redubbed by Akshay, with a view to have Madhya Pradesh as Mukhya Pradesh, UP as Uttam Pradesh and Rajasthan as Prajasthan.
