Save girl child, say Kajol, Sushmita Sen

sushmita sen daughter alisah 200x256 Individuals who do such things as which can be sick of their head, actress Kajol has said condemning the death of three-month-old Afreen who was battered by her father in Bangalore. Former beauty queen Sushmita says anyone who can do this type of hideous thing must be punished.

Afreen died Wednesday of cardiac arrest after suffering grievous head injuries, a dislocated neck, cigarette burns or even bite marks. In step with her mother Reshma, a 19-year-old, her husband wanted a male child and was angry on the birth of a girl.

“People, who do such things as that, are sick of their head. I BELIEVE children are sacred, they're god’s gift and that i don’t think anybody has the best to take anybody’s life or to do anything with any baby,” said Kajol, who's a mother of 2 – daughter Nysa and son Yug.

She was speaking on the Save and Empower The lady Child campaign organised here Wednesday.

“It’s a good looking cause and i'm more than pleased to be here. The rustic must sit and take notice of this. In today’s date, if anybody feels that man is superior to ladies then I don’t think so. It’s a wrong, illiterate attitude,” said Kajol.

Sushmita, who has adopted two daughters, said on the same event that during a gender biased Indian society, many ladies were killed even before neighbours came to understand about their existence.

“Any one that can do any such hideous thing have to be punished,” she said.

“We all were talking in regards to the little girls, such a lot of get killed before their neighbours even get to understand that they even existed…No matter how much we thank god, but if you are taking action it matters so much. So whenever I AM GETTING an opportunity, I jump in because I WOULD LIKE everyone to have a life,” added the actress, who also walked the ramp for Manish Malhotra along with her two-year-old daughter Alisah on the event.

Talking about biases towards the lady child, Sushmita said: “You can’t believe this occurs with such a lot of children within the small districts of Punjab, Himachal, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra. These are all heavily inflicted states.

“No matter what number of rulings and laws the federal government makes, we must always change. Unless and until we understand, by the point government officials reach us, the kid gets killed.

“There are very strong laws in our country but they have got not been implemented. Either the case doesn’t start early or if its starts, it gets delayed. Understand what's right and wrong. Many of us who're not educated enough wish to get rid of their daughters on the earliest.

“We are all examples of the truth that given a chance, we prove ourselves. It’s a question of getting that faith,” Sushmita said. – IANS
